FMC Europe will take place somewhere in London on March 28th 2015. Please register on the website soon so that we know how many people will attend and we can book a venue accordingly. If you register after the end of February, we might end up having to refuse entry due to venue constraints.
The deadline to apply for the World Championship grants is tomorrow (Saturday). See here for all the details, and get your applications in quickly!

The UKCA has agreed to use some of its funds to offer grants of up to £200 for some people to attend the World Rubik’s Cube Championship 2015 on July 17-19th in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Click here to read more
After FMC USA 2014 there were some discussions within the delegate community about holding other regional FMC events, and we are pleased to announce FMC Euro 2015! This competition will be across all of Europe at the same time, and the only event being held will be Fewest Moves, of which there will be three attempts.
FMC Euro 2015 will take place on Saturday, 28th March, 2015, the weekend before Easter! So put this date in your calendars if you are interested!
It looks like we will be having two venues in the UK, one in the south in the London area, hosted by Daniel Sheppard. And one in the north in the Hull area, hosted by James Molloy.
When we get some more information we will let you know, this was just to let everyone know when and roughly where it is happening!
The UK Rubik’s Cube Championship 2014 took place on the 1st-2nd November at the O2 Academy at the University of Leicester. Alexander Lau won with an average of 9.02 seconds. Robert Yau finished second (10.19) and Breandan Vallance finished third (10.25). The full results can be found on the WCA website. An honorary mention to Edward Lin of the US who came second in the competition with an average of 9.77.

Cuthberts Open 2014 took place on the 11-12th October at The Galleria, Hatfield. Alexander Lau won with an average of 8.00 seconds. Breandan Vallance finished second (9.45) and Robert Yau finished third (9.98). The full results can be found on the WCA website.
Congratulations to our world record breaker Oliver Frost on breaking the 4×4 Blindfolded World Record once again with a time of 2:18.65! This took 7 seconds off his own previous world record!

Oxford Winter 2014
Oxford Winter 2014 will take place on 20-21st December at The East Oxford Community Centre, Oxford. The organisation team consists of Greg Austin and Robert Yau, alongside the WCA Delegates, James Molloy and Daniel Sheppard.
Registration will be available on the WCA Website. Registration will open at 19:00 on Friday 24th October. The competitor limit will be 50 although you may still register for the waiting list after this. You will be notified via email if a place becomes available. There will be a registration fee of £10, payable on the day.
